Synopsis

Will Serfort dreams of keeping his promise to a childhood friend by becoming a Magia Vander, one of the mighty magicians who sit atop the Wizard's Tower. However, he is unable to cast even the simplest of spells, leaving him to fight dungeon monsters to earn credits at Regarden Magical Academy. As if that weren't enough, he finds himself putting his sword skills to the test against a bullying professor!

Wistoria is one of those stories where you like it or you don’t like it. Like many others have said, it’s pretty cliche but I personally give everything I read the benefit of the doubt of stories that are still early in their story for a judgement. Black Clover had the same issues with many people but if you see Black Clover then and what it’s now, you’ll see how much better it is now. I believe Wistoria will have the same effect. Fast Paced and Beautiful Battle Shonen; the art is fantastic and is able to capture and convey abstract feelings well such as insane speed or vast/overpowering magical spells to give scale and scope to the world. The power scaling and magic system make sense appear to have good scale and progression.

This is the non-comedic version of MASHLE that's set in a world that is the Magical equivalent to the world from Divergent (Semi-dystopian with a looming world outside of the initial area people live as a larger threat). this manga is a cliché in which the MC is constantly questioned and always proves the opposite, and this starts to get tiresome, repetitive and obvious as you read on. It starts to get annoying the way the MC is treated without recognizing his abilities. Superficial things that could be solved easily, but the author decides to stop the MC from progressing with childish things just to retain the audience's attention.
