Well it's the thing when it comes to writing something your own way in this society of fans that want the opposite of what you desire. It probably wasn't just the fans that were stopping him from doing his way but perhaps his editor told him that keeping Goku as the star would keep the community going. I was be perfectly fine with Gohan taking on the shoes that Goku did. But like you said its a big disappointment as to what happened to Gohan and Future Trunks feels the same. When he saw what Gohan has become he was disappointed as well.

Yeah the power levels are indeed ridiculous. And with the newest arc theres even stronger people. It's like every time they gain a new power new and stronger enemies just happen to appear. The author I think decided to pick back up on DragonBall since so much people requested it. If it wasn't for all that DragonBall would be long over. I personally still love the original DragonBall, when it was actual martial arts lol. I remember the good old days of watching the fight between Goku and Jackie Chun (Master Roshi's disguise). Those were great times :)

Wait.. Why would you watch the Steins;Gate movie first? The events in the movie Deja Vu occurs after the ending of the anime. Even though the movie was not canon, I felt that it was because it had such a good story and a well written plot. The main character Okabe actually has a reason for the way he's acting you will find out as you go through the story. He's character will grow on you and I hope you will begin to love him as a character. He becomes such a well-developed character once you watch the entire series I guarantee it! I don't think his personality ticked me off when I first watched it, but I guess people have their own opinions. If you love the Sci-Fi genre, I would totally tell you to give Steins;Gate your fullest attention. It paces itself really well in order for the audience to grasp the concept of the entire story and then just brings you on a roller coaster of emotions. I hope that you give it another try sometime, not necessarily immediately but it is one of my favorites :)

I just love slice of life animes. After watching the first episode, I knew immediately that I was enjoy the series. I was always the type of person who is into like calm and resting anime like Usagi Drop. It makes me feel so peaceful :)
