about

Every once and awhile my high functioning autistic son Dylan (born 6-17-1996) and I make what I call 'Zen Music'. That is to say we turn on all my keyboards - my 3 VCO Synthesizers-dot-com analog synthesizer, my Mellotron 4000, Fender Rhodes, a couple of my vintage Ensoniq samplers and the one Dylan likes best of all, my Alien Sonifier bent keyboard. I route them all into a vintage Sony MX12 Mixer and hit the Record button on my laptop. We then proceed to defer to our true natures (Dylan is ALWAYS in his true nature) and let Zen happen. We start recording and we don't stop until it stops. We capture this series of "happy accidents" as a completely live performance. This music is for the open mind. The traveler who knows that it's about the journey in life, not the destination. Listen with your stereo headphones on if you have them handy. . .turn the lights out even. Space out and stare at the screen. Listen for hidden sounds. See if you can journey beyond your normal attention span. Be Zen.

This site is for Jeff's other music.

"His music comes to him from The Stream. When he sits down to play, he casts his line. Sometimes he has no preconceived idea as to what he might find. He only knows the ideas will come to him-from somewhere.

As he composes, what he feels is The River of Life as it washes over him."
