Founded by the talented Ms. Anam Khan, this home-based bakery has become a go-to place for cake enthusiasts, offering a diverse range of customized cakes and confections for various occasions.

Cakelust Goa is not just a bakery; it's a creative oasis where sugary dreams come to life. The bakery offers a wide variety of regular cakes, fondant cakes and wedding cakes, all of which can be customised in terms of flavour, size, and design to suit various occasions. It also offers different frosting options for cakes, such as fresh cream, buttercream, and chocolate frosting. For those who prefer something more portable, Cakelust Goa's jar cakes, which come in various flavours and layers in a jar, are a good choice. The bakery also crafts tiered cakes for special occasions, which can be customised according to the customer’s preference.

Apart from cakes, Cakelust Goa also offers flaky pastries, puff pastries, cookies, brownies, artisanal breads and specialty breads, and icecreams in various flavours.

The Baker Behind the Bliss

Ms. Anam Khan, the driving force behind Cakelust Goa, holds a degree in business management, and currently serves as an Admin Head at a real estate firm in Goa. Despite lacking formal culinary education, her dedication and creativity shine through in every creation offered by her bakery.

Inspired by the videos of renowned pastry chef Yolanda Gamp, Anam decided to try her hand at baking. Her first few attempts at baking cakes and confections were met with a lot of positive reviews from her family members. Motivated by their praise and encouragement, Anam decided to transform her hobby of baking into a business venture. This resulted in the birth of Cakelust Goa in 2019.

Challenges and Triumphs

Starting Cakelust Goa didn’t come without challenges. When her enterprise just started off, Anam faced stiff competition from local bakeries offering cakes at lower prices. However, her dedication and the quality of her products set her apart. Over time, her consistency and commitment won over customers, building a loyal clientele base comprising tourists, event planners, and hotels. Till date, Cakelust has catered to nearly 300 clients from different parts of the world.

Future Plans

Looking ahead, Anam envisions expanding her enterprise by empowering other aspiring home bakers. Her goal is to create job opportunities for women seeking financial independence, fostering a community of passionate bakers. She dreams of establishing a full-time baking studio, where creativity knows no bounds.

For aspiring entrepreneurs, Anam has this piece of advice to share: “Go with your gut. At first, it may seem difficult and you might not get the encouragement and respect you deserve. But if you make the perfect breakthrough, the possibilities are endless”.
