Tourists are also attracted to Goa for its cultural heritage - from the famous old Portuguese churches like Se Cathedral in Old Goa, the 16th Century Safa Masjid in Ponda and Shree Mangesha Temple in Mardol, the legendary Arvalem or Pandava Caves where the Pandavas of the Mahabharat fame lived, to its two unique festivalsCarnival and Shigmo. Goa plays host to many festivals - the International Film Festival of India that promotes cinema, the Serendipity Art Festival, Sunburn Music Festival, The Grape Escapade to name a few. To showcase this varied heritage of culture, art, tradition, food, and people, in 2015 ItsGoa was born. The main aim was to make it the premier portal for all things Goa. Determined to pursue his passion for dance, Terence decided to move to Mumbai and enrolled in the Terence Lewis Academy, a prestigious dance school. Despite having no support or financial assistance, he took the leap at the age of 17, motivated by his achievements in school dance competitions and tiatr performances at the Kala Academy. However, the initial experience in Mumbai was challenging. The reality of the big city and lack of financial stability made him question his decision, but his resolve to succeed kept him going.

A Turning Point: Acts of Kindness and Unexpected Opportunities

Just when Terence was about to give up and return to Goa, an incident changed his fate. One of his instructors' sons was critically ill and needed a blood transfusion. Being O positive, Terence stepped in to donate blood, saving the boy's life. This act of kindness caught the attention of his instructor, who then helped him enroll in the Navin Dance Academy in Nashik. Here, Terence honed his skills in Zumba, Salsa, and Contemporary dance, which became his forte.

The Unplanned Entry into Modelling

Terence's entry into modelling was serendipitous. At a fashion show where designers showcased their collections, his instructor suggested he model an outfit. Despite having no prior experience, Terence agreed. With minimal practice, he walked the ramp confidently, impressing many designers with his attitude and poses. This unexpected success led to offers for magazine photo shoots, including one in Bangalore, where he earned 40,000 per picture. This marked the beginning of his modelling career, where he realised he could indeed make a name for himself.

Terence's journey in the fashion industry wasn't without its challenges. From facing discrimination based on his skin colour to navigating the competitive environment, he encountered numerous
