The Effectiveness Of Three Step Interview Technique On Students Speaking Skill

The method in this research is descriptive quantitative research. The data obtained from the results of documentation and interviews with a teacher who used three step interview technique in teaching speaking. The research used saturated sampling because all populations is sampled. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that Three-Step Interview technique was effective used when teaching speaking. This can be seen from the result of the researcher interview with a teacher who used three step interview and supported by an average students result during learning speaking which reacjed 77,27 %. In other word, the effevtiveness of three step intervoew technique was in effective.

This research aimed to analyze the character values found in the textbook used in the 8th grade of the Junior high School "When English Rings a Bell". This research applied the content analysis method with a qualitative approach. Researcher used document, namely a textbook as research instrument. There were six steps in analyzing data: unitizing, sampling, recording / coding, reducing, inferring, and narrating. The results of the analysis showed that in general the eighteen character values were used in the book. However, the character values were still not evenly distributed. Educational process, nowadays, can’t be disconnected with technology utilization. Covid-19 has forced the educators to implement technology in teaching process, as government demanded them to conduct blended learning before. In this situation, the students and educators meet some challenges. Feeling of isolated, one of challenges appears in students’ mind. Thus, educators need to find the solution for it. This study was quantitative research method which had 20 students of second semester in Islamic banking as sample. The data collected through distributing questionnaires for pre-treatment and post-treatment. Analyzing results showed that using video in English learning during online class in new normal era was able to motivate students to learn.

The population of this research was the second grade of SMAN 3 Bukittinggi. in this research, the researcher used the purposive sampling technique in determining the sample. There were two classes as the sample of this research. In the experimental class the students were taught by using Extensive Reading Approach. While, in control class the students were taught by using traditional technique and both of classes were given post test at the end of meeting. In order to analyze the data, the researcher used the normality test by using Liliefors test and tested the homogeneity of the data by using F test. The researcher also used the t-test formula to test the hypothesis and consulted its result with the ttable with α = 0.05.

This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study. The total population was 121 students and the research sample was 31 students in the fifth semester of English education at IAIN Bukittinggi and simple random sampling was used as a research sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, the student satisfaction in implementing TEFL learning on good teaching items showed that students were satisfied (good) with the learning. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the fifth semester English students at IAIN Bukittinggi are already satisfied with the TEFL learning.

The most feared thing is when the concept arises that the hijab is not an obligation for muslimah. To uncover this, as an educator, researchers feel obligated to bring back the muslimah students in accordance with the teachings of our prophet, Muhammad SAW. So this article designed the English materials about how to dress a muslimah based on Sunnah. This is development research, but focused on the design stage. The study resulted in the design of a valid English material after validated by the expert.

Lack of comprehension about the basic principles of genre based approach has been the main cause. Theteachers experienced in familiarizing grammar and vocabulary to the students. It is such a mandatory in Pariaman culture to mention the title to the son in law in wife society.The language relativity shows that the tributes given is to state that the sumandois as the appreciationof the position in RumahGadang. It is also implied that the sumando need to keep the behavior in wife’s society in order to be mature in behavioir and the act. This tributehas the implied meaning that the sumando has a big responsibility as husband as well as the head of the family

This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study. The total population was 121 students and the research sample was 31 students in the fifth semester of English education at IAIN Bukittinggi and simple random sampling was used as a research sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, the student satisfaction in implementing TEFL learning on good teaching items showed that students were satisfied (good) with the learning. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the fifth semester English students at IAIN Bukittinggi are already satisfied with the TEFL learning.

The objective of this research is to describe what Pariaman people implied in summoning the tributes to the sumando which is unique and not owned by other sumando around the region. The descriptive qualitative was the design of this research. The data were obtained by doing the interview and observation of the Pariaman people and the sumando of Pariaman. The result revealed that most of Pariaman people summon the sumando politely as the appreciation of the position of sumando in RumahGadang. Many muslimah who use hijab but the beauty of body can still be seen by others. As if the use of hijab just follow the trend. The most feared thing is when the concept arises that the hijab is not an obligation for muslimah. To uncover this, as an educator, researchers feel obligated to bring back the muslimah students in accordance with the teachings of our prophet, Muhammad SAW. So this article designed the English materials about how to dress a muslimah based on Sunnah. This is development research, but focused on the design stage. The study resulted in the design of a valid English material after validated by the expert.

This research also investigates the problems found by the English teachers in implementing it and examines how theyovercome those problems. The findings of this research show that the teachers have not implemented genre based approach inteaching writing optimally. Lack of comprehension about the basic principles of genre based approach has been the main cause. Theteachers experienced in familiarizing grammar and vocabulary to the students. It is hard for them to find appropriate materialswhich are close to their life. This study was descriptive qualitative research which was conducted in SMA 4 Solok.
