This survey target to catch a well-adjusted and well-investigated aim of pupil's motives of physical activity: a public health education survey in Sierra Leone, on the integrity of upholding a hale and hearty atmosphere in building a strong and vibrant children, youngsters, and grownups. Methods: Motives for Physical Activity Questionnaire Revised (MPAQ-R) was the established investigation device. The variables were investigated using IBM-SPSSv.23 Statistics, with a mean crosssectional average of 12.0±3.0, a 100% reply rate and N = 204 sample participants, stretching from 10-18 years, using a simple random sample. (SRS) choice. Results: In relations to outcomes, the benefits of engaging in physical activity as motive for pupils physical activity by sex stood out high for very true for males (n=419) and females (n=383) with a mean and standard deviation for males (1.02±0.187) and females (1.04±0.266)). In addition, by level (JSS1, JSS2 & JSS3), shows high for very true JSS1 (n=323), JSS2 (n=279) and JSS3 (n=200) at significant value of 0.358. Conclusion and Endorsement: In deduction, the benefits derived from engaging in physical activity is a fundamental motive for children and adolescents involvement in physical activity amid added issues in relations to sex, and academic level, hence supporting both internal and external enthusiasm of children and adolescents motives of physical activity. In endorsement, that children and adolescents physical activity motives be more geared towards their voluntary involvement into physical activity due to the benefits they derive from it rather than their involuntary involvement into physical activity due to the influence of others ranging from sex (males and females) and academic levels (JSS1,2&3) respectively.

It concentrates and supports efforts aimed at improving awareness among policy-makers, planners, implementers and others, of the provision of the constitution regarding the equal status of women and men, and the roles of women and men as equal partners in the country's development. Objectives To contemplate on how the government can encourage and value the contribution of women in national development and the development of the society as a whole. To, in line with affirmative action, support the integration of women and a gender perspective into the mainstream of national, regional and local development initiatives. Support the increased participation of women in decision-making in all spheres of the Namibian society. Priority Areas Gender, poverty and rural development Education and training Reproductive health Violence against women and children Economic empowerment Power and decision-making Information, education and communication Management of the environment The girl-child Legal affairs. Implementation Coordinating body Department of Women's Affairs. Other stakeholders Gender Focal Points in line ministries, Gender Sectoral Committee, Department of Women's Affairs, Gender Commission and the Gender Network Coordinating Committee, which ensures that all programmes and policies developed are implemented.

This study aimed at scoring measured and evaluated factors under physical activity and motor fitness skill level of children and ado...

However, it is unclear what happens to individuals' motivation toward protest participation as they experience the reality of repressive policing. This study contributes to the theoretical body of knowledge of protest policing and social movements by investigating the microlevel processes that affect protest participation. Specifically, we build from the insights of previous research by examining how 102 Ferguson and Baltimore protesters with varying levels of commitment-revolutionary, intermittent, tourist-experienced repressive policing and how such tactics affected their subsequent decision to engage in future activism. Our findings suggest that those with the strongest commitment toward protest goals experienced the most repressive tactics, and yet did not seem to be deterred in their motivation to be engaged in future protests. In contrast, while repressive tactics appeared to deter the less committed individuals from street protests, they remained motivated to engage in other forms of civic engagement.

Disadvantaged neighborhoods are more likely to receive punitive policing than more affluent communities. However, little is known about how citizens manage encounters with police when they occur and few studies have examined how gender intersects with race and neighborhood context in determining reactions to and outcomes of police encounters. Using Black feminist theory as an analytical framework, we draw from in-depth interviews with Black residents and protesters in Ferguson, Missouri to analyze men and women's narrative accounts of involuntary police encounters to investigate how they respond to encounters with officers, how such tactics shaped police-citizen outcomes, and whether these patterns vary by gender. Our findings suggest that the strategies that citizens employed are common across both genders; however, the police-citizen outcome is demonstrably shaped by gender.

Energy recovered was established by determining the kinetic energy of the landing aircraft after the action of other decelerating mechanisms of the aircraft. This is the energy dissipated at the wheel brakes as heat. With the aid of the modified Bréguet equation and other useful parameters, the energy of this flywheel was determined. Further analysis and application led to possible electrical energy that can be stored in batteries located on the ground. Results show that more than half of the dissipated energy at the wheel brakes can be converted to electricity. Consequent additional weight to the aircraft due to this system was found to be less than 0.5% of the aircraft's maximum take-off weight. This can be offset by choice of materials and slightly reducing the design pay load to ensure that the structural efficiency...

As most HIV campaigning takes place in the capital of Windhoek, an additional aim was to compare Windhoek to four regions (Hardap, Erongo, Oshana, and Caprivi). Between January and March 2011 a cross-sectional survey was conducted in two Namibian ministries, with participants selected randomly from the workforce. Data collection was based on questionnaires. 832 participants were included in the study (51.6% male). Nearly 90% of participants reported to have been tested for HIV before. Knowledge about HIV transmission ranged from 67% to 95% of correct answers, with few differences between the capital and regions. However, a knowledge gap regarding HIV transmission and prevention was seen. In particular, we found significantly lower knowledge regarding transmission from mother-to-child during pregnancy and higher rate of belief in a supernatural r...

The flywheel is aimed at converting the high landing kinetic energy (KE) of aircrafts to useful electrical energy. Energy recovered from the brakes was established by determining the KE of the landing aircraft after the action of other decelerating mechanisms of the aircraft. This is the energy usually dissipated at the wheel brakes as heat. With the aid of the modified Breguet range equation and other useful parameters, the energy of the flywheel was determined leading to the amount of electrical energy that can be stored in batteries. Results show that more than half of the dissipated energy at the wheel brakes can be harvested and converted to electricity. Consequent additional weight to the aircraft due to this system was found to be much less than 0.01% of the aircraft’s maximum takeoff weight. This can be offset by slightly reducing the design pay load to ensure that structural efficiency of the aircraft is maintained. It was also found that applying this system with a conservative estimate of 5 landings per day to the Boeing 777 aircraft family in active service today, results in total energy savings comparable to electricity generation from a 4.6 MW coal-fired power plant. A sample composite material with mechanical properties suitable for high-speed flywheel energy storage was developed in this study. The material outperformed existing flywheel composite materials such as Boron/Epoxy and Graphite/Epoxy in terms of energy storage density, high rotational speed and maximum stress. Finite element analysis was used to determine the maximum allowable stress to ensure safety operation of the flywheel.
