The study adopted a descriptive survey design with a population of 196 final year agricultural technology students of 2018/2019 session of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa university, Bauchi. The sample size for the study was one hundred (100) students that were randomly selected. A self-developed questionnaire was designed and administered for data collection. The questionnaire was validated by three lecturers from the Faculty of Technology Education and Faculty of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology. The Alpha Cronbach's reliability coefficient was 89.56% which was highly reliable. Data obtained was subjected to descriptive statistics and cross-tabulation. The frequency result indicated that majority of the students do not possess agribusiness skills. There was a significant association between parental occupation and agribusiness competency skills possessed by the students, i.e., students' whose parents are civil-servants wants to be civil-servants and students whose parents are full-time farmers does want to be farmers.

Five iso-proteinous diets were formulated using feed solution software, blanched Lemna paucicostata was used to replace toasted soybean meal progressively at 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% respectively. Fifteen Hapa nets of 1m2 each were used. Ten Oreochromis niloticus juveniles were introduced into each of the nets. The fish were fed at 5% body weight three times daily for a period of six months. There was significant difference (P≤0.05) in the apparent protein digestibility coefficient among the treatments and the control. Highest apparent protein digestibility coefficient of 92.94% was recorded in the diet containing 75% blanched L. paucicostata meal while the least value of 86.86% was obtained in the diet with 100% L. paucicostata meal. Twenty growing Uda lambs were randomly allocated into four dietary treatments (five animals per treatment) with varying energy levels in a completely randomized experimental design (CRD). The animals were fed diets containing 1800, 2000, 2200 and 2400 kcals ME/kg. Data were collected on feed intake, live weight gain and body morphometric indices. The findings of the study revealed that dry matter intake, live weight gain and growth rate increased with increasing energy level (P 0.05). Relationship between the body measurements and initial live weight of the animals was not significant (P> 0.05). Except for knee to floor and hock to floor heights, live weight and body measurements of the animals were highly significant with the final live weight (P<0.01). It was concluded that the optimum energy level for body gain and growth rate of sheep is 2200kcals ME/ kg.

Equal proportions of whole wheat grain and protein-mineral concentrate (balancer diet) were fed either alternatively (sequential) or together (loose-mix) to ISA Brown hens. The control was fed a complete layer diet conventionally. Each treatment was allocated 16 cages and each cage contained 5 birds. Light was provided 16 h daily (0400 to 2000 h). Feed offered was controlled (121 g/bird per d) and distributed twice (4 and 11 h after lights-on). In the sequential treatment, only wheat was fed at first distribution, followed by balancer diet at the second distribution. In loose-mix, the 2 rations were mixed and fed together during the 2 distributions. Leftover feed was always removed before the next distribution. Sequential feeding reduced total feed intake when compared with loose-mix and control. It had lower wheat (−9 g/bird per d) but higher balancer (+1.7 g/bird per d) intakes than loose-mix. Egg production, egg mass, and egg weight were similar among treatments. This led to an improvement in efficiency of feed utilization in sequential compared with loose-mix and control (10 and 5%, respectively). Birds fed sequentially had lower calculated ME (kcal/bird per d) intake than those fed in loose-mix and control. Calculated CP (g/bird per d) intake was reduced in sequential compared with loose-mix and control. Sequentially fed hens were lighter in BW. However, they had heavier gizzard, pancreas, and liver. Similar liver lipid was observed among treatments. Liver glycogen was higher in loose-mix than the 2 other treatments. It was concluded that feeding whole wheat and balancer diet, sequentially or loosely mixed, had no negative effect on performance in laying hens. Thus, the 2 systems are alternative to conventional feeding. The increased efficiency of feed utilization in sequential feeding is an added advantage compared with loose-mix and thus could be employed in situations where it is practicable.

Nine of these products were evaluated in vivo for apparent digestibility of nitrogen and plasma anti-soy antibody titers in preruminant calves. In inhibition ELISAs, Mabs led to much higher values for antigen concentrations than Pabs. Compared to inhibition ELISAs with Pabs, two-site ELISAs associating Mabs and Pabs gave similar values for glycinin and higher values for-conglycinin. However, in vitro tests which best predicted in vivo responses to soy were those using inhibition with Pabs, particularly against native-conglycinin: with antigen concentrations correlation coefficients were negative for apparent digestibility of nitrogen and positive for anti-soy antibody titers. However, Mabs were more powerful tools for studying effects of treatments on soy immunoreactivity.

Three research questions and one hypothesis were developed to guide the study. Cross sectional survey design was adopted in which a total of seven hundred (700) registered small scale farmers' cooperative associations from three agricultural zones of Katsina state formed the population. A total number of two hundred and eighty (280) respondents were randomly sampled using cluster sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics in which the null hypothesis was tested using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMCC). The findings of the study revealed that the information seeking patterns used by SSF is through asking questions, verbal conversations and collaborations then followed by chatting and referral. The findings revealed that more than seventy percent (70%) of the farmers engaged in different types of farming activities that includes rain-fed farming, livestock farming, and irrigation farming activities. The findings revealed the highest crops produced by the small holder farmers are; beans, millet, maize and sorghum.. The study recommends that government and farmers' cooperative associations should create discussion forums at local government and ward levels to attend to small holder farmers when seeking information for successful farming activities.

A specifically designed questionnaire was administered to gather information about the awareness and use of databases by students. Results showed that the vast majority of the participants used Internet search engines rather than specialized databases and full-text resources. Only 6.8% became familiar with electronic resources by attending the library training programs. The main problem associated with the non-use of resources was lack of adequate searching skills. The above findings suggest limited use of databases by graduate students, mainly due to absence of basic skills, awareness. In order to exploit the full potential of information resources in the databases, university library should undertake a more active role in informing, promoting, and educating the members of the academic community.
