in terms of fighitng, metal would probably...? it depends on which version of metal sonic (like archie metal sonic, ova metal sonic, or neo metal sonic, or any other variants)
chaos sonic has sonic's personality, therefore his arrogance, but he also has the ability to plan things out more and devise a strategy. he could also annoy metal, which is sonic's tactic a lot of the time, and metal's downfall. but metal has more fighitng experience and wouldnt lose via cockiness or arrogance.
