Hello everyone, my name’s Zach Weiner. I’m the geek behind SMBC and one of the geeks behind SMBC Theater.
Today, I’ll be fulfilling a few childhood dreams at once. I’ll be making an extended graphvella (as described here) which documents ALL OF STAR WARS.
I may not have succeeded in capturing the entirety of the story, but I think I at least got the high points. Well… at least the stupid points. I anticipate being corrected today both on my ability with graphs and on my knowledge of Star Wars.
So, yeah. Hi ilovecharts. We’re gonna be friends all day today.
<3,
Zach Weiner
EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE - First graph
EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE - GRAPH 2
Don’t worry about the y axis units. They measure combat and justice at the same time. Let’s call them… RamboSocrateses.
EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE - GRAPH 3
It’s an important distinction.
EPISODE V: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK - GRAPH 1
Yes, I know they’re called AT-ATs. I spent 60% of my teenage years memorizing star wars facts.
EPISODE V: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK: GRAPH 2
Did anyone else notice this? How does Obi-wan get to be self righteous to Yoda EVER?
EPISODE 5: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK - GRAPH 3
Thanks, Luke. Very helpful.
EPISODE VI: RETURN OF THE JEDI - GRAPH 1
Coincidence?
EPISODE VI: RETURN OF THE JEDI - GRAPH 2
More brilliant planning.
EPISODE 6: RETURN OF THE JEDI - GRAPH 3
This had to have been at least as weird as the “made out with my sister” thing.
Okay, so this is more of a math joke.
Gasp! This is the second to last star wars joke!
Last Star Wars comic!
This is just about the end of my guest chartist day! I’ll have a concluding post soon.
And as it happens, today’s SMBC is a graph joke. Enjoy!
I want to give a hearty thanks to Jason for setting this all up. I’m a reader of this blog, so it’s a real treat to be in command for a day. It’s a LOT more work than it seems!
