Programas antidelincuencia: Evaluando Comuna Segura

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo consiste en la evaluación del programa antidelincuencia denominado Comuna Segura implementado a partir del año 2001 en doce comunas del país. En particular, se analiza el impacto que el programa ha tenido sobre la tasa de denuncia comunal respecto a seis categorías de crimen. Los resultados sugieren que el programa incrementa en forma signicativa la tasa de denuncia. Lo anterior se puede interpretar como que el programa facilita o mejora los niveles de comunicación y generación de redes sociales que permiten a los vecinos de dichas comunas beneciarias tener mayores incentivos para efectuar la denuncia.
