In terms of new features, this release doesn't have anything to impress you with. A lot of work has been put into re-designing the internals of the plugin, e.g. how dynamic wallpapers are stored. Unfortunately, this means that we have a compatibility breakage. Wallpapers for v2.x can't be displayed by v3.x and vice versa.

• Switched to using the HEIF file format for storing dynamic wallpapers
• Introduced a command line tool for creating dynamic wallpapers from a collection of PNG and JPEG images
• Automatic generation of preview images for dynamic wallpapers

It's still possible to distribute dynamic wallpapers as KPackage packages. But now instead of providing a collection of PNG or JPEG images, you need to provide a single HEIF file, dynamic.heic.
