Some video don’t play when I click on them #3519
Comments
Am also having this issue with the latest update. No videos are playing, it's just a black screen. I'm using the app on an Nvidia Shield. |
I am finding smart tube will not play age restricted videos suddenly. Both on my Shield TV Pro and my Chromecast W/Google TV. My account that is signed in is perfectly capable of playing age restricted videos on the youtube website, or on my phone. Smart tube is the only client with issues. |
Same here. This started like a couple of weeks ago, and most of the videos show black loading screen. I have also noticed simillar problems in the NewPipe app. To me it seems like YouTube have implemented some new features to prevent users from blocking ads that have affected the playback. Hope ST dev team wins this war, cheers :) |
This is sooo annoying.. I strongly dislike Google for their constant enshittification of everything. What can't they just do good, as they once promised? |
Yes same problem, I hate google |
Same here thank goodness I'm not the only one |
I just started having this problem too. I'm also finding that adding and removing videos from a play list causes this to happen immediately and makes thumbnail refresh slow down a lot. Maybe I have too many videos in my watch later playlist. Is there a limit? |
I also have this problem but I have YT premium so blocking ads shouldn't be a thing. Nvida Shield Pro 2019. |
A recent issue that I have been having is that whenever I click on some video, the video player cuts out and all I see is a black screen. I can still interact with the menu such as playing the pause button or going to the comments, but the video itself won’t play. It doesn’t even show the timer of the video itself and it feels like I’m barred from watching it.
