Hi Yihui,

It would be nice to bring the timeline to this theme so users can demo their working experience or any timeline info. I built one using pure css (no dependency) in the codepen: https://codepen.io/Jienagu/pen/NWreNvJ

Welcome to use it because I don't know how to implement into RMarkdown yet. Also feel free to let me know any thoughts or feedbacks. :)

Beautiful!! I looked at the HTML code, and it seems to be straightforward to implement. I'll take a stab tomorrow. Thanks for the great suggestion and elegant code! I could never imagine by myself how to implement it via pure CSS.
