I've been using the Vercel AI SDK to integrate multiple AI providers into our chatbot application. The integration works well with providers like OpenAI and Groq, but I'm encountering an issue when trying to add support for DeepSeek AI, which is also OpenAI API compatible.
Here’s the code for the provider instances I'm using:
Steps taken:
1 Verified the API key and baseURL for DeepSeek AI.
2 Confirmed that the setup is similar to the Groq provider, which works fine.
3Checked the payload structure being sent to DeepSeek API and ensured it matches the expected format.
it would be great if we had deepseek provider since their coding model is really good(somewhere near Gpt4o).
here is the docs for deepseek: https://platform.deepseek.com/api-docs/
Any suggestions or best practices to debug and resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.
