Information looked up in Perple_X werami tables is resulting in complex values for sound speeds in Europa's core. Instead of simply taking the real part, the root cause of this problem should be investigated and solved.

Seems to only affect Europa.

Does this happen with all Europa compositions?

It happens with seawater and [ 1, 10, 20, 30 ] wt % MgSO4.

Sorry, I should have specified that I was wondering whether the odd sound speed results occurred with different Europa rock compositions, not ocean compositions. Could you try a different "Seismic.mantleEOS" in PPEuropa? Maybe the CV3hy1wt_678_1.tab?

Both chon_678_1.tab and CV3hy1wt_678_1.tab yield complex values.

I haven't noticed this issue with the Python version.
