The symptoms are described in #94
The buffer is reused for ICMP echo response by VPP, and thus re-enters UPG subgraph, causing assertion failure.
This does not affect release builds

Hi,

I don't know if this is related to the same issue but I also have this crash when two UEs try to ping each other.
