Learning Traintastic (or a similar application) is often considered difficult. So I was thinking, maybe we can add a skill level setting to the world properties.
For example, skill levels:
Beginner
Competent
Advanced
Expert
Beginner
Skill level intended to learn the basics, draw a layout, add trains, control trains by hand etc.
Limit the number of possible settings/options so users can easily get their trains going without an overwhelming number of options.
e.g. hide object id settings
Competent
More options to control train behavour and automatic train.
Advanced
Make scripting possible and make object id available for editing and even more settings to control everything.
Expert
Enable special low level stuff, thing like sending direct DCC / LocoNet packets from script.
