ARCore for all works initially (as soon as you run the adb command to install arcore-preview2.apk) but after 5 minutes or so it will fail to work: "ARCore encountered a problem connecting. Please restart the app again."
Only when I uninstall ARCore and reinstall using the adb command does it work again. It also fails to work if I do not uninstall ARCore or if I install an app after running the adb command.
Help!

Which version of ARCore are you running (v1, v2)? Is it directly from Google or this repo?

I am getting it from here : https://github.com/google-ar/arcore-android-sdk/releases/download/sdk-preview2/arcore-preview2.apk
I'm confused. So is the initial ARCore-for-all obsolete now that arcore-preview2 is out? And my S8 is not one of the listed supported phones but it works! (for about 5 min before something breaks)

Yes, it needs to be updated for v2.
