While scraping data for postgresql I am not getting correct data.

Below is my yaml config which I am using to scrape CPU percent for postgresql.

metrics:
- azureMetricConfiguration:
    aggregation:
      type: Average
      interval: 00:05:00
    metricName: cpu_percent
  scraping:
    schedule: "0 * * ? * *"
  description: CPU percent
  name: azure_postgresql_cpu_percent
  resourceType: PostgreSql
  resourceDiscoveryGroups:
  - name: postgre-sql`

If I use above config then I am getting null value for this metric. But if I use below config wherein I am changing aggregation type as None then I am getting 0 as value for the same metric even though this metric is having data in it.

What does the Azure Portal show for these metrics and your resource? null typically means that there is no information available or that the scraping schedule is faster than new metric showing up

I am using scrapper 2.5 and discovery 0.5 version. Is there any issue in this specific versions?

No, this is just showing what the API is returning though so there is not much that we can do about this as we fully rely on Azure Monitor.

What you can try is going to the Azure portal and see what granularity they support:

Play around with those and see how the outcome is but sometimes there are gaps in the data, this is pretty similar to #1290
