Getting very close to releasing version 1.0.0. Currently the test coverage is at about 60% and I'd like to get that a bit higher before releasing. In the long run this will aid in spotting mistakes in the math before accidently shipping a new version.
One of the big decisions is finalizing the naming conventions for many of the methods. I am merging a lot of my work with a port of @david-rc-dayton's pious_squid library. I like his use of specific terms for coordinate frames (J2000 vs the generic ECI), but it is both longer and less common. Since I suspect a lot of users will have seen satellite.js first, I'd prefer to stick with the generic terms or offer both where the generic automatically maps to the more specific name.
If anyone following this has a strong opinion, let me know.
I did a lot of work on a PR for StuffInSpace using ootk-core and am very happy with the simplicity it provides without sacrificing speed. In many cases, 20 lines of code was replaced with 3 or 4 lines and all of the astronautical constants and transforms could be outsourced to this library where there is extensive testing on their accuracy.
Documentation and testing are the priority right now, but if anyone has any feature requests, just drop them in the issues tab or in the discussion tab.
