Need support to generate .srec files using "Export Compiled Binaries" option

Describe the solution you'd like

Arduino 2.x has a cool feature when you click "Export compiled binaries", it exports .bin, .elf, .hex and .map files now. Previous 1.x IDE would give only .bin file.
I want to generate a .srec file and an option to offset the application code from the default 0x8000000 to lets sat 0x8002000. Any way I can do this from the Arduino IDE itself or by running an additional command line?

You can add a platform.local.txt file as explained here:

Then add in this file:

## Create output (.srec file)

About adding an offset you can add a boards.local.txt file as explained here:
https://arduino.github.io/arduino-cli/0.33/platform-specification/#boardslocaltxt
Then add in this file (example for P- Nucleo WB55):
Nucleo_64.menu.pnum.P_NUCLEO_WB55RG.build.flash_offset=0x2000

Result LD_OFFSET is at 0x2000 and srec is generated:

If you used Arduino IDE 2 you will probably have to delete the cache as there is a bug about cache not refreshed.

Thank you for this. Firstly, I am able to get the .srec generated when I use "export compiled binaries" option.

There is an issue where the application fails to run after the offset. I am trying to figure out if it is a bootloader issue or something to do with the vectors not getting offset properly.

To Elaborate what I am trying to achieve:

1. I am trying to add a SD Card bootloader to achieve some sort of firmware delivery mechanism using Cellular 4G and a HTTPS Server. My end target is to use the STM32WB5MMG controller.
2. I am using the "OpenBLT" bootloader and trying to create a opensource project that can help the community achieve OTA functionality.
3. The complete source code of "OpenBLT" for STM32F103xB is available. I also have a couple of Bluepills with me along with my custom STM32F103CB and STM32F103RB boards with me. I have successfully been able to integrate it with STM32CubeIDE. Bootloader sits a 0x08000000 and Application at 0x08006000. Download the .srec hosted in a HTTP server using 4G cellular, transfer the file over UART to the SD card and trigger the bootloader to perform DFU and load the new application file.
4. I am trying to replicate this in Arduino so that it works and I can opensource the application code and modified bootloader to the community..
5. The .srec compilation without offset works. I can compile with Arduino 2.0 and flash the .srec using CubeProgrammer at 0x08000000 and the application program runs.
6. But if I add the OpenBLT SD card bootloader and use the offset compiled .srec (offset to 0x08006000), the bootloader is able to perform DFU from the SD card, but the application fails to run after bootup. This leads me to believe that startup function is not being called or something is a miss.

I am working on this. I will update things here if I am able to figure it out.
