I submitted the application and have been waiting for approval or disapproval of our app for weeks. I tried to reach out to them on Twitter, is there anyway to talk with them or make this process go faster?

Based on your title, it sounds as if you're waiting for approval to use their API which I don't believe you need. I believe you submit an app if you want it in their showcase. You should be able to use the API once you have your client id and secret from the developer dashboard. Perhaps I misunderstood your issue.

I have the same issue...been waiting 5-6 months now...I think you need this approval if your app is commercial, @cjam you understood otherwise?
