I'm Gaston and I'm the creator and main developer of the popular open source iOS OctoPod app and OctoPrint plugin for OctoPod.

What is OctoPod?

OctoPod is a free and open source iOS client for OctoPrint that lets you control multiple 3D printers from your iPhone, iPad and even your Apple Watch. You can also use Siri to control your printer via voice commands. A big number of OctoPrint plugins are supported and the number keeps growing. Community requests help shape up the direction of the product. This is how I recently added support for multi color printing via Palette 2, iOS Dark Mode, multiple cameras including full screen and zoom in/out or real time notifications when your print has finished or there are security alerts like thermal runaway or probe failed.

Why Sponsor?

I started this project mid 2018 with a clear goal of keeping it free and of course open source. This will never change! I have my daily job that keeps me plenty busy and at the same time I wanted to give back to the great 3D printing community for all the help and direction I received when I started this new hobby. I'm fine donating my spare time and iOS developer yearly fee to keep OctoPod up and running. However, there is a small monthly expense in order to offer real time notifications as many of you requested.
