Developing open source bioinformatic tools with Julia, Python, and LInux for biological design
If 3 other people appreciate my contributions enough to support them, then I will consider that a milestone to invest more into my open-source development by creating additional documentation, tutorials, and educational walkthroughs. My goal is to turn Mycelia into a framework for analyzing large-scale, multi-omic directed evolution studies and simulating these directed evolution experiments to optimize experimental designs. Ideally it would be simple enough to use that anyone with a basic understanding of coding and genetics could design and run simulations, while being capable enough to handle modern cohort datasets with terabytes or petabytes of data. Currently I am using it for post-graduate research along these lines.
