Greetings!

I'm Anirban, but you can ideally shorten it down to the first three characters and call me 'Ani' as most do :)

Recently, I graduated with a master's degree in Computer Science from Northern Arizona University and in terms of work experience, interned at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (my work involved fuzz testing software for spaceflight systems). I love open-source and I've been focusing on programs and internships catered toward the development of open-source software for the past three years. When not coding, I like to spend my time playing video games, making illustrations, or exploring life outside the box I live in.

Writings

I've penned down several blog posts and numerous standalone content pages on technical topics and aspects which can be accessed via my website. I've also written answers to hundreds of programming questions and helped fellow programmers when possible, both as an opportunity to give back and as a way to fortify my learnings.

Stack

My core languages include C and C++, but I like to explore and learn new languages (either via courses, or self-taught via assembling bits and pieces of information scattered around the internet) from time to time, based on the need of the moment. For instance, I taught myself R for working on my first Google Summer of Code project and made use of its advantageous features (such as the availability of statistical models like GLMs) and right after, learned Golang to investigate its play with concurrency via goroutines for my silly project that is based on the fictional concepts of an anime!

This, along with the fact that I like the idea of building something from scratch or reinventing the wheel (with the sole intention of making myself familiar with the intricacies involved in doing so), is something I believe that helps me to push myself into a new area within computer science, ones that have been left unattended to (or rather, left personally unexplored).

Sponsorships

Any amount of monthly financial assistance would provide me with additional motivation to keep working on my current open-source projects and introduce new public content, may it be automation scripts and projects or blog posts and articles.

And you probably already know this, but if I'm the first person you're sponsoring (sweet, thanks!), you can expect to have the 'Sponsor' badge appearing on your profile; otherwise, you'll get your sponsoring metrics up by one in the case when you're already supporting other individuals in the open-source community - Thank you!
