Expected Behavior (or desired behavior if a feature request)

An employee left us, so we confirm we got their equipment back, then do a Checkin and Delete, which would delete the user and check in their assets.

Actual Behavior

I deleted his user profile and checked in his assets, however two other assets were also checked in that weren't checked out to him, but rather were both assets checked out to one location.

Provide answers to these questions:

  • Is this a fresh install or an upgrade? Upgrade
  • Version of Snipe-IT you're running: 5.0.11
  • Version of PHP you're running: 7.4.13
  • Version of MySQL/MariaDB you're running: MySQL 5.7.26
  • What OS and web server you're running Snipe-IT on: Windows Server 2016 and Wampserver 3.2.4 with Apache 2.4.46
  • What method you used to install Snipe-IT (install.sh, manual installation, docker, etc): Git
  • WITH DEBUG TURNED ON, if you're getting an error in your browser, include that error: No error shown
  • What specific Snipe-IT page you're on, and what specific element you're interacting with to trigger the error: From the page of the relevant user, click Checkin & Delete User, set status to Pending.
  • If a stacktrace is provided in the error, include that too: No stacktrace
  • Any errors that appear in your browser's error console: Didn't get a chance to check the console, sorry.
  • Confirm whether the error is reproducible on the demo: https://snipeitapp.com/demo: Can't be reproduced due to deleting users being disabled in the demo; however trying with a test user in our instance didn't reproduce the error.
  • Include any additional information you can find in storage/logs and your webserver's logs: Nothing relevant (most recent error entries are from November, the user was deleted this morning)
  • Include what you've done so far in the installation, and if you got any error messages along the way: This is an installation we've had for coming up to two years now for day to day use (it doesn't get used daily, but it gets used regularly - if that makes sense). We've kept Wampserver components and SnipeIT up to date,
  • Indicate whether or not you've manually edited any data directly in the database: No.

Please do not post an issue without answering the related questions above. If you have opened a different issue and already answered these questions, answer them again, once for every ticket. It will be next to impossible for us to help you.

I suspect this is a case of "it happened and there's no indication why so keep an eye out if it happens again", particularly given there's no log entries or anything else I can find suggesting why it happened. Or, more likely, it's a case of "working as designed, user is a moron" because we unintentionally did something that linked this user and the location together.

One definitely actual problem though, on the Delete User page when using the Green Dark Mode theme, there is white text on a yellow background on the Checkin and Delete User (also reproducible in the demo):

Thanks! 😊
