Have two identical MSZ-GE25VAD2 aircon units - one works fine, the other can only be turned off with SmartIr. Same model remote as well. Any ideas?

I faced the same problem and was able to work around it by changing the IDs of the misbehaving ones to something else.
In my case I have 2 Daikin mini splits controlled with BroadLink RM4 Minis
