The starter-workflows require release workflows to use

on:
  release: 
    types: [created]

The verifier is unable to verify the main branch and fails.

The branch need to be retrieved from .predicate.invocation.environment.github_event_payload.release.target_commitish

We need this for the official release.
We will need to add some e2e tests in the example-package repo as well.
