Looking at recent store reviews, most people giving 3 or less stars are saying that they can't believe the data.

Problems:

  1. Many comments saying that the Air Quality Stations are too far from them.
  2. It feels a bit dishonest to users to show the user's location and the cigarettes count, and in small the actual distance to the Air Quality Station. It's like we're trying to make it like we have data everywhere.
  3. Even for distances <15km, I saw some comments like "I live in X city, but you're showing the air quality of the worst industrial part of the city"

We ought to somehow answer this in-app, before they decide to go on the store to rate our app. Some ideas:

  • To solve 1&2, we could have a different UX when distance is >15km, like the :( cigarette face, with a possibility to switch to the nearest station.
  • On the home page, maybe a small link "Air Quality Station too far from me?", which goes to the About Page on a new section on how the user could improve our data (links to partners), or how we plan to encourage the installation of new Air Quality Stations.
