Cube loading order seems off

For showing image data: Neuroglancer appears to load cubes in a suboptimal order. Even though the system monitor shows a continuous download bandwidth of above 1 MB/s no imagery is shown for ~5-15s. When imagery is shown it almost seems comically avoiding to load the center cube until the very end. This indicates that the cube loading order is buggy / not optimal.

Note: To observe this effect limit your download bandwidth to a ~1 MB/s by running a VPN across the USA...
