I thought this was a Compass error. It turns out I'm getting it with Sass too. Basically, it looks like Sass writes new changes, but never updates the browser, even after a refresh.

After stopping watch, I get this error after several seconds:
E, [2015-11-10T01:26:10.752155 #47763] ERROR -- : Couldn't cleanly terminate all actors in 10 seconds!

I've already run gem update --system, tried uninstalling/reinstalling Sass. Nothing works.

Using Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.1 with sass-3.4.19

It looks like the error was caused by celluloid. I updated it, and Sass compiles.
