(Please, note that the menu and setting names reported below may differ from the original English ones, since they were back-translated in English)

Other working (with caveats) cameras/firmware:

DH-IPC-PFW3849S-A180-AS-PV by Dahua Firmware: 3.140.0000000.10.R,build:2024-01-16
DH-IPC-HDW3549H-AS-PV by Dahua Firmware: 3.140.0000000.13.R,build:2024-01-24 $

$ = requires changes in camera settings:

  1. log in the camera using its Web interface;
  2. follow the path: Network Settings->Basic Services
  3. set "Authentication" to "Compatibility Mode".
    If the default "Safety Mode" is used, the camera is (apparently successfully) installed in HA as
    "Generic RTSP" with "Firmware: 1.0". However, with this setting, nothing works properly and any
    further command/setting will fail with different kinds of "access denial" messages.

Warning: since I have just installed the cameras on a fresh Home Assistant install, and because of my inexperience in HA, only few features and interactions have been tested. However, previews, motion detection and illuminator's switching on/off are working flawlessly.
