Hi there, Get your discussion fixed faster by creating a minimal reproduction. This means a repository dedicated to reproducing this issue with the minimal dependencies and config possible. Before we start working on your issue we need to know exactly what's causing the current behavior. A minimal reproduction helps us with this. Discussions without reproductions are less likely to be converted to Issues. Please follow these steps:

Please create a reproduction repo (see instructions above) and then resubmit this as "Suggest an Idea" so that it can be converted into a feature request issue. |

In our Gradle projects we recently switched to use JvmTestSuite:useJUnitJupiter to define the JUnit Jupiter test dependency. We use this in conjunction with the Gradle version catalog, so the JUnit version is defined in a
gradle/libs.version.toml
file.Source
See these files in our project:
The Renovate Gradle manager doesn't pick up this combination, so the JUnit version is not updated. See our Renovate Dashboard for the
master
branch.As a workaround we could define a
junit-jupiter
dependencies in the[libraries]
section of our version catalog like this. As you can see in our Renovate Dashboard for therenovate-playground
branch, this works. We would appreciate native support for the Gradle JVM Test Suite Plugin and itsJvmTestSuite
way to configure JUnit though.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
