Watching Twitch while the Miner Runs? #244

keep in mind this is my own experience but let me try to help adress as much as i can this i believe is due to the priority, as it seems to prioritize people where you have the least points, and/or whoever is first loaded, what you COULD do to combat this, as you said you had 6 in your list (i however do not know if this is how many you are FOLLOWING, or if it is how many you have in the actual list itself) is you could specifically mention each channel within the config within the advanced section, like specifying whatever channel, however adding the paramaters for channels you know use drops vs ones that dont, (refer to the example script on the bottom for reference) as for avoiding TPP breaking the script when watching, what you COULD potentially do is close the chat, and only watch the stream or use a different accocunt to interact, in addition i believe the reason the bot breaks when you type because the drops/points gathering are sent via IRC, the same thing that twitch uses for the chat, as it is reading every message sent in chat and waiting for events, and due to the bot seeing messages pointed towards your account, it could be seeing it as a message for claims and points (technically, its not logging it though, so i cant really be for certain if that is whats happening.) in addition because some of the streams overlap as you mentioned, it could be causing the bot to react in a loop unintentionally and might need to be addressed, keep in mind however i dont use the miner for drops so i can only help so much with that. twitch_miner.mine( |

So I don't use the script to do any betting with channel points. I have all of that turned off. From the documentation I read and how I have it set up (as it comes default) is the following priority:
It KINDA does this? So I initially had it on Replit, then due to security concerns (see #245) and the script being no longer maintained on Replit (mentioned in #245) I switched it to my Raspberry Pi. The problem followed there. Today I switched it over to my Mac Mini that I use as a server, and it is doing the same. Something I've noticed is that if I don't have TPP or any stream for that matter open, the script SEEMS to run fine. Follows priorities and does what it's supposed to. When I open a stream up rather it's TPP (on the list) or another one, the script gets all out of order and breaks, in that it's doing this...
So maybe this is something I need to post in issues for @rdavydov to review? |

I'm interested in the answer to this question as well. I just started using the miner recently, so I haven't really dove into it, but I'm immediately curious as to how/if the script detects that another client is watching a stream and responds accordingly. |

Is it possible to watch twitch while the miner runs, even if one of the channels you're watching is in the miner?
Example, I like to watch Twitch Plays Pokemon... but there are periods of time where I don't have the stream up (sleeping, work), which is why it's in my miner config. I set it 2nd to last in my order.
I also have Call of Duty in my miner for COD drops so I don't have to remember to turn my PC on and leave it on. I have COD set dead last in my list because they often do streams w/o drops, and I don't want to farm points for COD, just drops.
So while I'm watching TPP, I'm watching the console on Replit, and it's very sporadic.
My priority is as follows - STREAK then DROP, then ORDER.
It will start off with the person I have in the first slot of my list, then go to TPP which is 2nd to last, then jump to another person in the middle. I have 6 total in my list.
Did I set something up wrong, or am I messing the miner up by trying to watch TPP while it's running?
I ASSUME what I'm seeing, is the miner going for watch streaks, at which point, if COD isn't streaming w/ drops on, it'll go back to the ORDER?
Some of these streamers overlap. So when it finally does get to the ORDER priority, I've noticed that the miner will go to the person in the first slot, and stick with TPP (I seriously watch a lot of this), completely ignoring say Person 2 if they're live even though they are higher in the list than TPP.
I assume this is because I have an actual tab of TPP open watching it, and Twitch only allows mining from 2 channels at a singular time?
I've also noticed that if I type in chat, it REALLY messed up the miner and almost causes it to reset and start the above all over again?
If multiple people on my list are live, it jumps all over the list instead of sticking to just two of them? Is this normal behavior of the priority is set to ORDER?
