distutils.errors.DistutilsError: Setup script exited with error: SandboxViolation: open('setuptools_git.egg-info/PKG-INFO', 'w') {}

this is due to the dependency of setuptools_git. Is this dependency really necessary?

I can remove it. If I remove setuptools_git do I need to replace it with anything else?

Looks like I can avoid it. Fixed in 734c501.
