[Epic] AWS Resource Registry formerly AWS Native/CloudControl

Overview

This epic will announce the General Availability (GA) of the AWS Native Cloud Control Provider AWS Resource Registry, an enhancement and strategic evolution from the existing AWS Native offering. This release aims to offer an up-to-date integration with AWS Cloud Control APIs, simplify customer choices, and clarify the provider's positioning in relation to AWS services. It also reaffirms our commitment to the Pulumi AWS Provider (AWS Classic), ensuring stability and continuity for our current customer base.

Next steps for AWS native

Shift Strategy - Focus on rebranding “AWS Native” and positioning it as an augmentation to, rather than replacement for “AWS Classic”
Goal for AWS Cloud Control - Highlight core value prop of integrating 100% of the CCAPI same-day support of new resources.

As of August 2024 - The provider will be named "AWS Resource Registry"
