  1. install desktop client (1.0 release) on macos
  2. have some other window in focus
  3. click on desktop client menu - it would open for a moment then close again automatically.
  4. that would move focus to the upper bar, and you could now click again and it would open normally.

no other apps in the top bar have such issue.

This seems related to other windows being in focused.
