database setup in minikube cluster

Currently I am running into issues regarding usage of local databases with the helm chart (https://github.com/imio/helm-plausible-analytics. I disabled the creation of both the clickhouse and the postgres databases and put in the locally available URLs of the databases (tested availability in Datagrip). However the container stays on "Pending" and the logs say "Waiting for Postgres to be ready...". Am i missing something in the setup?

I don't have any experience with this helm chart so won't be able to help much, but I wanted to note that the scheme in the ClickHouse URL matters and should be either http or https.

One thing to check is if the local databases are running on the same network as the containers.

Okay, the compose for the databases has plausible, because I wanted to test plausible with using external databases. I am just running the containers for the databases in docker desktop. I remember why is used host.docker.internal before, because I thought it would point to the 'actual' localhost on my machine accessible through the browser. I will try your suggestion, thanks!

According to this post, you can use host.docker.internal to point towards the localhost of the host machine (not the container's) https://stackoverflow.com/questions/24319662/from-inside-of-a-docker-container-how-do-i-connect-to-the-localhost-of-the-mach.
And from that the logs seem to be correct:

However when I browse to the port forwarded address I cant log in and the registration is turned off.

Do the logs mean that the initial database connection is not correct, because its not showing errors like before? Sorry for taking your time, Im trying to figure out whats going wrong

@JeroenHaverkort I'm not seeing port 3000 anywhere in your configuration. I won't be able to help you when I don't know what you are running, what configuration you are using. You need to help me help you.
