I've read the options for tracking visitors across domains but I wondered if I could do something else to record events on one-off basis (I don't need everything recorded cross-domain)?
I have a marketing site and a product site. They are separate properties in Plausible. It's only the product site that records events, but I want to correlate those to visitors on the marketing site from e.g. entry pages, and review the funnel etc.
I'd like to leave my properties separate, but just pick certain events which I also record on the marketing site.
I tried doing this with the API. However I hit a problem with CORS.
I changed to inserting an iframe with the
script.manual.js
and configuring this for the marketing property. However:
Should I be able to get this to work - is it worth pursuing?
