I am trying to set up my own email server for use with plausible self-hosted, and am perplexed by the errors I am getting back from plausible.
I wondered if anyone could help me decode them, please?
The instance is behind a reverse proxy and there are no spaces in the actual emails and plausible server addresses.
Firstly I get this warning, which appears unrelated or an internal plausible library making a http connection when it should be https?
I found this link, but it didn't mean much to me tbh ->
16:48:23.568 request_id=FrI_vtUoAAEZj [warn] Description: 'Authenticity is not established by certificate path validation'
Reason: 'Option {verify, verify_peer} and cacertfile/cacerts is missing'
16:48:24.368 [error] #PID<0.6772.0> running PlausibleWeb.Endpoint (connection #PID<0.6769.0>, stream id 3) terminated
Server: stats.myplausible.co.uk:80 (http)
Secondly, the error I get makes no sense, as plausible@ mymail.co.uk is owned by user plausible@ mymail.co.uk?
Request: POST /password/request-reset
** (exit) an exception was raised:
** (ArgumentError) raise/1 and reraise/2 expect a module name, string or exception as the first argument, got: {:permanent_failure, 'box.mymail.co.uk', "553 5.7.1 <plausible@ mymail.co.uk>: Sender address rejected: not owned by user plausible@ mymail.co.uk\r\n"}
