visualizer not working, Black window

on the pi4 i cant get the visualizer to work,
it boots up with a black screen within the visualizer window.
any suggestions what it could be?

I'm guessing it might be all the visualiser colours defaulting to black.
Go to "Settings" and under "Colors" you can set the different colours. I use white for background, black for text, orange for the tool, etc.
