<channel> = stable|beta|nightly|<major.minor>|<major.minor.patch>
So 1.54 should be a valid channel. It's used in https://github.com/cloudflare/wrangler/blob/090f638fe37c5fd9775d27bb23a1445cd8fbabc9/rust-toolchain#L2
However, rust-overlay doesn't seem to recognize it:

Using 1.54.0 works, but I'm trying to build released software, with their toolchain file.
