I first reported it here and was adviced to also report the problem here.
I won't copy&paste in order to avoid duplicate information.
the problem appears after I upgrade my nextcloud instance from 24.0.5.1 to 24.0.8.2.
I can make the problem disappear by constantly accessing the music folder in the Files app, but it reappears soon after I stop doing so.
I'm guessing the 24.0.8 might have introduced a certain energy-saving mechanism that puts external storage to "sleep" when not accessed for a timeout. While the Files app accounts for this change, the music app did not. It's all guessing..
