Hi there,
Im unable to use the HTTP Basic Authentication feature, im running BOA-2.2.6 as of last night, but cant seem to get this one to work.

I had it working previously, but after the upgrade it no longer has any affect. I tried updating both hosting_tasks_extra and provision_tasks_extra, but no success.

I found the previous version that was working in the o1/backup/system (i updated it this way last time to get it working, i think...), but got 500 internal server errors.

I think this may be a result of the nginx config files permissions being too restrictive,
in /data/disk/o1/config/server_master but these seem to be reset by the daily script?

Anyway, not sure where to go from here, would be great to get this working again!
Thanks.

We are going to switch to upstream tasks_extra 6.x-2.x away from our 1.x/2.x fork, where we didn't really test this feature, so it is not going to be fixed before BOA-2.3.0 release, which will use latest Aegir 2.x and Drush 6. Also, I'm afraid it stooped to work because / after we have merged in related changes from tasks_extra, so after the basic auth has been added as a submodule, so it may require further debugging anyway.

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for the response. Happy to test some things out when the time comes.
Any ETA on the 2.3.0 release?

Im thinking using this module could be a temporary solution?

Thanks.

Why not to use the built-in https://www.drupal.org/project/securesite instead?

There is no official ETA for 2.3.0 but we hope to release it this summer (maybe even later this month)

Where is that module built in? I checked the o_contrib_seven folder, not there.. so it doesn't show up in my modules list, am i missing something? It is there for o_contrib but thats for drupal 6? (i'm using 7)

Thanks again. This project is great btw :)

it should be also in o_contrib_seven, if your system is up to date (octopus, not just barracuda)
