Migrate membership system to Open Knowledge Directory on discourse - http:https://discuss.okfn.org/users

Why? http:https://discuss.okfn.org/users/ is now primary OK directory. We want to integrate with this rather than duplicate.

• Suggest we use this badge for designating members https://discuss.okfn.org/badges/121/labs
  • Do we need to specify what a member is a bit clearer (how do we award this badge?)
• Need an award process automated
• Still can have a members page on labs but want to auto pull (?)
• ...

Overall:

• Is this a good idea?
• How would we go about it
  • How would existing integration work (e.g. linking posts and projects to team members)

@rgrp @davbre to get a simple listing, the Discourse site can provide the Labs members as a JSON object: https://discuss.okfn.org/groups/labs/members.json

We would then need to set the Discourse site to allow okfnlabs.org to read that info.

@danfowler really useful to know. Any thoughts on:

• How we do the members page integration (would we still have a page on labs for members to list posts and projects?)
• How would we deal with badges - could we migrate our current badges to discourse (with their cool images ;-) ...)
