Within Advanced Altering, it does not seem like there is a clean way to exclude monitoring for a cert time frame. Currently, you can set the action group to not send an alert based on a time frame but the trigger event still occurs. For example, if I know that I'm not going to get any messages on the weekend and I have an alert group set to trigger after 10 minutes of not receiving a message it's still going to trigger but I can set the alert to be suppressed for the desired time frame. This gets to the heart of the request. Currently, if I want an alert to trigger if a channel is set back to normal there is no way for that action group to know the previous level. Looking at the configuration below. I don't want alerts for 10 minutes, 30 minutes, and 1 hour during the weekend. as I expect the trigger event to occur multiple times. There is no way to tell the Normal action group to not alert for those action groups when returning to normal but I would like a return to normal if it happens to get the 4 hours and then returns to normal.
Describe your use case
I only want to receive Alerts that that it's back to normal if the alert it's returning from is not an exclusion window.
Describe the solution you'd like
A way for an action group to only trigger based on previous alerts, not triggers themselves.
Describe alternatives you've considered
If there is a way this can be accomplished using current configurations I have no found it. If so can the be included within the Advanced Alerting documentation.
