Consider increasing Channel Name field size

Would you consider increasing the field size of the Channel Name field above the current varchar(40), e.g. 60 or even 255?

This would be really useful for us also. Channel groupings have helped to an extent, but it seems like a relatively minor change to increase the length of the channel name field.

This would be very useful for us as well. There are often times when 40 characters just isn't long enough to differentiate channels in a meaningful way, especially without the use of any non-alphanumeric characters such as parentheses, brackets, or braces. Tagging is helpful in some ways, but there are many situations (alerts, for example) where tags aren't relevant and it would be helpful to have longer, more descriptive channel names.

Please re-open if possible. 40 characters just isn't enough for a lot of applications.
