As we previously talked about, it would be useful to be able to put shared links of files from your Nextcloud directly in your email.

This makes sending mails faster cause attachments don't need to be uploaded. And your files don't leave your server.
When choosing files from your Nextcloud, there could be a split button with the choice of either »Attach« or »Add as shared link«.

I think that is really a big feature, one of my client really ask this as he thought that was a base feature.

  1. attach via public link
  2. attach via internal link

By internal link do you mean a password-protected share?

@ChristophWurst "internal link" as in the link you can copy in the sharing sidebar and only people from the same cloud who have that file shared with them can open.

I don’t think it does make sense to give these 2 options, as when you share with someone on the same instance, you already use the internal sharing mechanism. Also, the general links are not public. ;)

In any case we can still think about details after a first basic thing is implemented.
