instead, it produces an endless stream of
mn-vpxp-wifi-2 mpv[20543]: [ffmpeg/demuxer] sdp: RTP: dropping old packet received too late
only recovery is by manually restarting the service.

This page has a solution for ffmpeg, but it doesn't seem to apply readily to mpv:
